Gold Coast based retirement village and home estate developers Palm Lake Resort has purchased 20 ha for $15 million on Little Mountain, 11 km inland from Caloundra. This is their second development on the Sunshine Coast.

Adding to two Central Coast retirement villages it already owns, Kiah Lodge and Karagi Court, Australian Unity has purchased Elderslee Retirement Village at Bateau Bay. They had been the manager of the retirement village for the community group Elderslee Foundation. It consists of 96 units.
