It is located one block from Maroubra Beach.

This week another fire occurred at lunchtime in a Sydney village when the elderly woman was not at home. It started in the kitchen. This is the seventh retirement village unit fire we have reported in 24 months. Five were in winter. Fortunately nobody has been killed or severely burnt in any of these, just smoke inhalation and shock. Please advise your residents to be ‘fire aware’.
