This week I got an email with a message that spoke swiftly to my own heart. It was about images of older people in marketing and advertising. The email’s subject line said, ‘Tired of ads with fake people?’

It is perhaps timely to again alert residents to be aware of the hazards of heaters and kitchen fires, plus replacing batteries in smoke alarms. Last week a 62 year old male died as result of a kitchen fire at 2.30am at the LLC Pacific Palms Home Village in Burpengary, north of Brisbane.
