The Catholic not-for-profit provider has lodged a planning application to build up to 176 retirement living units on vacant land at its re-developed Bethlehem Home for the Aged in Bendigo.
The seniors housing development in Newcastle West will be owned and operated by RSL Lifecare and include a 60-bed aged care home, 74 retirement living units, 94 parking spaces and a café.
The not-for-profit provider has submitted plans for 156 retirement living units at its Tobruk village in Austral. The units will be housed in six three-storey buildings and see the existing village expanded by 200 residents.
Sydney based lawyers Levitt Robinson is aggressively advertising plus approaching village resident committees to build a group of residents to take class actions against retirement village operators (see the ad above), and they are getting traction.
Following an out of this world track record of investments in the retirement village and aged care space, Sydney private equity group Quadrant has just purchased 50% of W.A. based St Ives Home Care for a suggested $150 million.
