Yarra One, a 268-unit 26-storey tower (pictured) in the upmarket suburb of South Yarra, 4km southeast of the Melbourne CBD, will partner with a not-for-profit group to offer a range of services to residents including home maintenance, pet walking, massage, home cleaning, dry cleaning and personal care.

Developer EcoWorld International says there’s a gap in the market for developers to cater to people wanting to live an active low-maintenance lifestyle that isn’t tied down by household chores.

“With an ever-increasing expectation of what defines ‘luxury living’, there is a need in the market for apartments that provide the amenities and services of retirement living but instead are located in the epicentre of activities such as South Yarra,” general manager Jeffrey Ong said.

Designed by architecture firm Fender Katsalidis, which also designed Australian Unity’s The Grace at Albert Park development, prices start from $710,000 for a two-bedroom apartment to $1.335 million for three-bedrooms – and no DMF or maintenance fees.

It’s due to be completed in 2020.
