Queensland retirement village Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines has unveiled a new $3 million Hamptons-style community clubhouse earlier this February at its wildly popular open day event.
To officially open the new clubhouse, Ingenia CEO Simon Owen was joined by Logan City Council Division 9 Councillor Phil Pidgeon for a presentation.
Traditional Owners of the land on which the Chambers Pines village stands were also present to lead guests in a First Nations Smoking ceremony and Water Blessing ceremony.
Residents and guests were then invited to be the first to experience the much-anticipated clubhouse, and enjoy live music from a Bee Gees tribute band and lunch.
The clubhouse has become the heart for social activity, and resident events and gatherings. With expansive wrap-around verandahs and a multitude of resort-style facilities, the clubhouse caters to a variety of exclusive preferences.
As well as entertaining spaces, the clubhouse contains a fully fitted-out air-conditioned gymnasium designed for all fitness levels, a lap pool, four-lane competition grade lawn bowls green, and games room.
Recently, Ingenia also introduced a new social and lifestyle program, Be Active, designed to enhance the lives of residents with free monthly events, social engagements, and health and wellness workshops. The clubhouse opening is timely, as it will host upcoming Be Active programs.
Ingenia Lifestyle Project Sales Manager Lynda Ruddell said the feedback received from residents, their families, and stakeholders, was that the clubhouse is the most modern facility of its kind in the region.
“The new clubhouse will help to create a sense of community and belonging by providing a place for residents to connect and socialise,” Ms Ruddell said.
“Staff and residents had very much looked forward to unveiling the clubhouse and know that it will now become a valuable asset in the community.
“The new facilities are perfect for our Queensland weather and will allow residents to utilise the space year-round with its alfresco barbeque area where residents can entertain guests.”
