Another pioneering retirement village operator, SA’s Martens family, is quietly re-entering the market and acquiring villages.

They have just purchased Bridgewater Lake in Roxburgh Park in Victoria from receivers. This adds to Langton Park in Adelaide and The Elms, north of Melbourne, giving them 310 completed units with another 170 to be developed.

Rebranded The Parks Villages by Brand Partners, the group is being led by Ben Martens (pictured) and his brother-in-law Tom O’Brien. The family sold out to RetireAustralia in 2007.
