Popular Central Coast retirement village, Wood Glen by RetireAustralia, has announced an exciting new development of luxurious homes in the village.
The eleven architecturally designed homes are the first of ongoing additions to the village, purpose built for the growing number of residents while bringing economic benefits to the wider Erina locality.
Each three-bedroom home is an independent living villa, that comes standard with access to Wood Glen’s signature five-star, resort-style lodge with exclusive facilities and manicured gardens – all housed in the secure and gated community.
Currently, the village comprises 83 independent living villas. An additional development of 58 luxury apartments across two buildings are in the pipeline for 2019, in which residents will be able to access additional care services if needed.
A successful trial of new care and support services at Wood Glen’s sister village, Tarragal Glen, in 2017 was the springboard for an ongoing rollout of similar services across the company’s portfolio.
RetireAustralia CEO Alison Quinn said residents contribute to their communities in a variety of ways.
“Retirement villages these days are very much externally focused; there’s lots of volunteering and community work,” she said.
“Residents become part of the broader community, which is usually their family home neighbourhood.”
From attracting investment from Sydney and elsewhere, increasing employment opportunities, tourism from visiting families, and supporting local businesses, the lifestyle benefits residents and the region are set to gain are sizeable.
The first stage of completed independent living villas are due to be completed in May.
