Brisbane’s Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, has been given an exclusive tour of Aveo Newstead to see how construction is progressing on Brisbane’s landmark 19-storey vertical retirement village.
The $200 million development will meet increasing demand from retirees looking for apartment-style living that provides easy access to lifestyle amenities and desirable inner city locations.
Accompanied by Councillor Vicki Howard Aveo, Group CEO Geoff Grady and Aveo Group EGM of Integrated Retirement Communities, the Lord Mayor toured levels 19 and 5.
Level 19 will house a rooftop lounge and private dining room, while level 5 will be dedicated to an extensive recreation area which includes a bowling green, golf simulator, restaurant, bar and private movie theatre.
Aveo Newstead will also feature a health and wellness retreat and access to services from GPs and allied health professionals.
The group also toured what will be Aveo Newstead’s state-of-the-art Aged Care Facility which will cater to residents’ care needs within the same community.
Construction of Aveo Newstead is due for completion in May 2018.
