Pradella Property Ventures has commenced construction of a $71 million Hamptons style resort at Harristown, Toowoomba with the first sod being turned last month.

Dubbed “the Hamptons in Harristown” the retirement resort for the over- 50s will feature a country club and summer house based on architecture made famous in the Long Island area of New York.

The large development will include 162 dwellings with the construction of the first 20 homes and summer house commencing before a sale is made according to Pradella CEO Phil Goodman.

The summer house will commence in March and is due for completion in September with the construction of the first 20 homes beginning during that period.

The company has identified Toowoomba as a major growth area for retirement living. According to Phil Goodman “ the opportunity today is to deliver them a project that they will be proud to live in “.
