The expansion of Mater Christi aged care facility has been thrown into doubt with the collapse of construction group National Buildplan.

Since the group was placed in administration, scaffolding was removed from the site. Insolvency firm BRI Ferrier is managing the family-owned company which generated a net profit of $1.09 million last year.

Along with the Mater Christi aged care expansion in Toormina, National Buildplan is also behind the redevelopment of Dubbo Base Hospital and the expansion of Port Macquarie Hospital.

Uncertainty now looms for all projects.
