Bogan Shire Council will begin looking at land and funding options to build six, two bedroom aged care units.

With help from Dubbo, Parkes and Gilgandra, Cr Donald said the council would look at similar types of developments around the region.

He did not rule out more nursing and aged care facilities in the future, anticipating demand would drive expansion beyond the first six dwellings.

It is not clear at this stage how much the development will cost with a final decision being made in the near future.
