Last week Danielle Lim of MinterEllison gave a review of the likely changes to the QLD Act following an 18 month review. They are:

•  A simplified Public Information Document
•  No Standard Contract
•  Simplified Cooling Off period
•  Tightening up of operators paying the General Service Fee for newly developed but unoccupied units
•  Reduction in frequency of Quantity Surveyor reports
•  Limits on the type and reinstatements that operators can require on vacation of units
She did not expect early payment of exit entitlements to be implemented.
