Port Macquarie’s Mingaletta, a stylish, 100 bed, residential aged care facility turned one with more than 200 guests celebrating.

97 residents mingled with guests while the first resident, Eva Phillips, said the staff were the best thing about her new home.

“It’s nice to be somewhere I’m cared for by wonderful staff,” said the 84 year old.

Live music and speeches punctuated the pink-themed party.

“We focus on building a community and offering a household model of care,” said Service Manager Renee Yates.
Mingaletta now has 80 people on its waiting list.
