Kerrisdale Gardens, a new aged care facility in Mackay, has taken an important step forward with the approval of their development application by Mackay Regional Council.

Raelene Phillips, executive officer of Good Shepherd Lodge, is excited by the approval which is seen as a milestone not only for the Lodge, but the community as a whole who have contributed to the master plan.

"This is a significant milestone and now we have the approval in place we are keen to progress to the construction stage of this great new facility," Mrs Phillips said.
