Last night Domain Principal CEO Gary Barnier gave an impassioned speech on the responsibility of care operators to provide genuine services and care with a unique Australian character.

Symbolising this attitude he launched the rebranding of Domain Principal as Opal Specialist Aged Care.

Barnier explained the unique Australian character by Opal’s attitude as having an honest and open conversation with the community and potential residents about the real emotions of aged care, plus changing perceptions of the sector.

He also announced an Educational Partnership with Alzheimer’s Australia where all 5,000 Opal staff will be trained in the provision of dementia care. He points out they already have the lowest staff turnover in the aged care sector.

Demonstrating their commitment to ‘outstanding customer service’ he announced new positions including Head of Hospitality and Head of Lifestyle.
