Not-for-profit service provider Blue Care has started work on the Coomera Community Care Centre, their new $3.4 million purpose built facility,

Executive Director Robyn Batten said that the organisation’s existing centre was no longer viable as the range and quantity of their aged care services has grown.

“Moving into a building purpose-built for our clients’ requirements is exciting, and we look forward to continuing our partnerships in the community to provide tailor made services that best meet people’s needs," she said.

Blue Care Coomera Community Care Service Manager Beverly Smallmon said that the base would cater for staff who visit people in their own homes.

“It will also be a base for Blue Care allied health services, such as physiotherapy, occupation therapy and social work, along with wound and leg ulcer nursing clinics,” she said.

“The new building includes a purpose-built landscaped area for clients living with dementia to enjoy, along with allied health rooms, activity and training rooms and modern offices for staff.”
