Hometown Australia, the Australian arm of Hometown America, is very active in the land lease sector.

It has announced it has bought Bridge Street resort, its first Over 50s land lease community in Toowoomba.

The 262-site community brings its portfolio in the state to 17. Altogether, Hometown Australia now owns and operates 54 sites (including some such as Glenfern Thrumster (picture) and Parkside Yamba, both in NSW, in development).

Bridge Street has amenities including a four-lane bowling green, swimming pool, tennis court and croquet green.

The community is surrounded by national parks and lakes, making it perfect for nature lovers. There is Picnic Point Parklands and Table Top Mountain nearby.
